Education

The East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) is proud of its award-winning work with the region's teachers and students.  Whether the program is held in Northeast, Central, or Southeast Tennessee or is a teacher workshop, student program at the Museum of East Tennessee History, classroom outreach, or National History Day, ETHS staff and volunteers enjoy "making history personal" in engaging and interactive ways.

We work hard to provide resources that address teacher needs and curriculum trends--for example, our current programs address key aspects of Common Core English Language Arts standards, while also alligning to the social studies SPIs.
