The East Tennessee District serves East Tennessee teachers and students by supporting their NHD efforts in their classrooms, schools, and systems.  East Tennessee History Day is the culminating district-level competition and is held on the first Monday in March at the University of Tennessee's Carolyn P. Brown University Center.  Teachers and sponsors involve students in NHD through school and system-wide competitions, history clubs, or home school co-ops and family groups.  ETHS staff works closely with Tennessee History Day coordinators to ensure that program details, theme materials, new rules, and other information is shared with teachers, sponsors, and students.
