General Rules
- Reserved dates are not considered secured until a signed auditorium rental contract, the caterer rental agreement, and the initial deposit have been received by ETHS.
- A two-hour minimum applies to all rental fees.
- Lessee must include set-up and take-down/clean-up in reservation time. Additional set-up and take-down time not accounted for in contract will be billed lessee atthe appropriate hourly rate.
- Advance arrangements can be made at lessee's request for museum/exhibits admission/
- Address for the building is the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay Street. Adding the words "across from the Tennessee Theater" will help your guests locate it. Lessee must provide guests with a personal contact number for information regarding directions and event time.
- Lessee must designate a representative who will remain on the premises throughout the event.
- It is recommended that lessee also provide a greeter for his or her guests.
- A $250 damage deposit is required. This damage deposit will be returned if the space is left in its original condition. Charges for carpet cleaning, damage, or failure to return room to its original set-up will be deducted from the damage deposit.
- No smoking is allowed in the building.
- ETHS does not have designated parking. However, there is ample parking at various parking lots and garages in the vicinity.
- Electrical outlets are provided throughout the auditorium, but it is the responsibility of the lessee to provide any needed power cords, extension cords, etc.
