Catering
- Any caterer or bartender must be licensed and be from ETHS approved list, or meet with the approval of ETHS.
- Caterer must sign and return a copy of the caterer rental agreement.
- A representative from the catering firm must remain on the premises throughout the event, including during set-up and take-down.
- Lessee/caterer must supply all personnel, materials, equipment, and supplies required for the preparation and service of food and beverages. ETHS will not be responsible for supplying forgotten items.
- Lessee/caterer must supply all chairs, tables, linens, trashcans, reception supplies, extension cords, etc.
- Lessee/caterer is responsible for set-up and take-down of tables and chairs. ETHS staff is not available for set-up and take-down of chairs, tables, equipment, etc.
- All tables, chairs, and other equipment used by the lessee and caterer must be removed following the event.
- Alcohol can be served only in private, restricted areas. It is the responsibility of the caterer to adhere to alcohol policies and to ensure that alcohol is not served to anyone underage.
- No food or drink is allowed anywhere in the Streetscape area (this includes the Drugstore and the Trolley).
- The caterer is responsible for all actions of its staff. All reasonable requests and/or orders from ETHS staff or security must be complied with at once.
- Caterer must provide proof of liability insurance of $1,000,000, naming ETHS as co-insured. The policy should also include alcohol coverage and must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event.
- All trash must be placed in plastic garbage bags and removed from the building by the close of the event. Garbage pick-up is at the Market and Clinch corner of the building.
Caterers are responsible for cleaning up all work areas prior to leaving the East Tennessee History Center. Dirty dishes and trash must be removed from the building immediately following the event.
Failure by caterer to remove trash or clean the space will result in forfeiture of damage deposit!
