Request a Student Program
ETHS offers multiple programs for museum and classroom learning. All student programs are rooted in literacy, align with current state social studies standards, and can be adjusted to accommodate various grade levels.
Objects Over Time
Students “read” or analyze an object from the ETHS Education Collection. Working collaboratively with classmates, students use prior knowledge to place their objects on a timeline.
Students explore nine boxes of artifacts to learn about the people who lived in the “frontier” era. Using their observations, students present who they think owned the objects in each box.
What kind of experience would you like to schedule?
Student Programs Sponsored By
The ETHS education department has been awarded funding for the 2022-2023 fiscal year through the Arts and Culture Alliance American Rescue Plan (ARP) Renewal Grant. The Arts and Culture Alliance manages this grant program on behalf of Knox County and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Funds support our programming efforts to combat the impact of lost instructional time for school children using evidence-based programs and services.
